Adobe Wires 70+ Creative Tools Into Slack via MCP App

TL;DR

  • Adobe is exposing more than 70 of its tools inside Slack through an MCP-based Slackbot app called Adobe for Slack.
  • The apps callable from a Slack thread include Firefly, Photoshop, Premiere, Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, Stock, Lightroom, and Adobe Express.
  • The integration is restricted to Slack Business+ and Enterprise+ teams; Adobe already has ChatGPT hooked up and says a Gemini integration is coming.

Adobe said on Monday that more than 70 of its tools, including Firefly, Photoshop, Premiere, Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, Stock, Lightroom, and Adobe Express, are now callable from inside Slack via an app called Adobe for Slack, TechCrunch reported.

The mechanic is a Slackbot wired through MCP. A user describes what they want in a thread, and the bot routes the request to the right Adobe application, reading the surrounding conversation so it can convert thread material into PDFs, images, and video, or pull assets from previous campaigns into the chat for editing.

Deepti Pradeep, Adobe's senior director for Agentic AI, framed it around workflow gravity. In focus groups, Pradeep said, people valued "saving time, getting to the outcome they want faster without having to micromanage every step, being able to access Adobe wherever they're already working."

The launch is limited to Slack Business+ and Enterprise+ teams. TechCrunch does not report pricing or whether users need an existing Adobe subscription to invoke the tools.

Adobe already ships a ChatGPT integration and says a Gemini one is on the way, and TechCrunch notes that Canva and Figma are pushing into chat surfaces while Anthropic builds tighter Slack ties. It lands the day after Meta's move to replace Google Chat with Slack, citing the agent ecosystem, one of ten Salesforce-adjacent items on our tracker over the last quarter.
