AMD Agrees to Buy Fei-Fei Li's World Labs for $8.2B, Names Her EVP and Chief Scientist

AMD announced a definitive agreement to acquire Fei-Fei Li's spatial-intelligence startup World Labs for $8.2 billion, with closing expected by year-end pending regulatory approval. Li will join AMD as executive vice president and chief scientist reporting to CEO Lisa Su, while co-founders Justin Johnson and Ben Mildenhall stay on to lead the World Labs team inside AMD.
