Apple Opens 512GB RAM Mac Studio M5 Ultra Config at $22,299 for On-Device Large-Model Workloads

Apple opened online orders for a Mac Studio configuration pairing the M5 Ultra (36-core CPU, 80-core GPU) with 512GB of unified memory, starting at $22,299 and topping out near $29,799 with 16TB of storage. The 512GB ceiling, previously unreachable on any Mac, lands as developers push larger local models and MLX inference workloads onto Apple Silicon.
