Bluesky's Attie Lets Anyone Build Sites, Games on AT Protocol
TL;DR
- Bluesky's Attie now lets anyone build websites, games, quizzes and polls on AT Protocol with no coding required.
- CEO Toni Schneider calls it 'social vibe coding' — multi-user building rather than today's solo coder-and-model workflow.
- Private data support is in alpha with full rollout planned by year-end, which Schneider called developers' top request.
Bluesky's Attie product now lets ordinary users string together websites, games, quizzes and polls that run on the AT Protocol, no coding skills required. The expansion was announced at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 and reported by TechCrunch on Thursday.
CEO Toni Schneider framed it as a multi-user twist on the solo workflow dominating today's AI coding tools. "Vibe coding today is kind of a single-user, solo experience. And what I want to be able to do is build together or build for a group of people," he said. His name for the pitch: "social vibe coding."
COO Rose Wang put the strategic argument more plainly. "What makes Attie so interesting is that it comes with the Bluesky distribution," she said, pointing at the network's 47 million registered users as a built-in audience for whatever creators ship. The piece notes engagement has slipped as some users returned to X.
Attie users can plug in custom models or choose from open-weight options. Private data support is in alpha and scheduled to roll out by year-end; Schneider said it was developers' top request. The announcement lands in a busy week for AI-assisted builder tooling — Figma just released its Specs rulebook to steer AI agents, one of 128 coding-tools stories we have tracked in the last 90 days.
