Chainalysis: Base x402 Agentic Payments Hit 138M in Q3 With 87% Under 10 Cents

Chainalysis reports cumulative transactions through the x402 agentic-payments protocol on Coinbase's Base chain jumped from roughly 1,500 in mid-2025 to over 138 million by Q3 2026. More than 87% of payments were under 10 cents, and the median wait between a wallet's first deposit and first spend collapsed from 73 days to 18 minutes, with roughly 90% of active wallets receiving repeat funding within 30 days.
