TL;DR
- CoreWeave's three co-founders have sold $3.3 billion of stock since the March 2025 IPO, with roughly $2.4 billion of that selling in 2026 alone.
- CEO Michael Intrator sold under $70 million in 2025 but more than $907 million so far in 2026; Brannin McBee has shed 40.4% of his IPO-date holding.
- The selling runs alongside a 60%-plus decline from the stock's June 2025 peak and a yield above 15% on CoreWeave's 9.625% notes due 2032.
Michael Intrator, CoreWeave's chief executive, sold less than $70 million of stock in 2025. In 2026 he has sold more than $907 million.
That is one leg of a broader insider cash-out. Bloomberg reports CoreWeave's three co-founders, Intrator, Brian Venturo and Brannin McBee, have sold $3.3 billion of stock since the company's March 2025 IPO, with roughly $2.4 billion of that in 2026 alone. Venturo has moved more than $1.2 billion in total, including $734 million in the second quarter. McBee has sold $1.06 billion, equal to 40.4% of his undiluted holding at the time of listing.
A CoreWeave spokesperson's reply, quoted in the reporting: 'All sales are pre-scheduled, fully disclosed, and entirely standard.' The company adds that its co-founders remain among its top six shareholders, together owning approximately 20% of CoreWeave, and are 'making personal financial planning decisions that any responsible founder with concentrated holdings would make.'
The sales have run alongside heavy pressure on CoreWeave securities. The stock is down more than 60% from its June 2025 peak. The yield on the company's 9.625% notes due 2032 has climbed above 15%, with the bond trading near 78 cents on the dollar.
The read sits alongside our other AI infrastructure coverage this week, including Nscale's shaken $35B IPO.
