Crusoe walked away from its $1.25B agreement to buy 29 of Boom Supersonic's 42MW Superpower turbines, with Boom CEO Blake Scholl saying "turbines are no longer part of Crusoe's near term primary power mix at Abilene." The cancellation lands weeks after Crusoe closed a $3.9B Series F in mid-September and stepped back from a planned Wyoming AI campus, signalling a pivot from fixed gigawatt-scale power commitments to modular facilities and cloud services. Boom still plans to deliver about 250MW of turbines to other sites next year.
