Bloomberg reports Citrini Research founder James van Geelen has sold his AI-infrastructure-focused thematic research firm to Dylan Patel's SemiAnalysis for an undisclosed sum. Van Geelen stays on as CEO with operational autonomy and plans to launch a new fund; Citrini has raised about $5M since 2023 and built hundreds of thousands of Substack subscribers, while SemiAnalysis's chip and data-center analysis reaches 50-90 staffers' worth of institutional investors and chip executives.
