Dyson Unveils $499 CameraJet, an AI Toothbrush With a 100K-Pixel Macro Lens Trained on 470K Dental Images

James Dyson unveiled the CameraJet in Paris on Sept 1: a $499 three-in-one toothbrush/flosser/rinser with a 100K-pixel macro lens under the head, trained on 470,000 dental images and running 16M lines of code. The 'Gap Optical Targeting' system analyzes 28 live images per second to detect gaps between teeth within 100ms and aim its water jet. Dyson says the live camera feed is optional and no imagery is stored on device or in the cloud.
