FFR, Faraday Future unveil FF Nova humanoid for devs, schools

Robotics ai-business

TL;DR

  • FFR and Faraday Future used an October 14 invitation-only event to launch FF Nova, a smaller FF Nova Mini, an updated education curriculum, and a developer RL platform.
  • The launch video goes public October 15 at 5:00 p.m. PDT on ff.com; the release names no price, ship date, or launch customer.
  • FFR (NASDAQ: FFR) says it has proposed to acquire FFAI's EAI robotics business under a non-binding term sheet that may not result in definitive agreements.

FF EAI Robotics Ecosystem Inc. and Faraday Future say they used an October 14 invitation-only event to launch four products at once: FF Nova, a humanoid for developers; FF Nova Mini, a smaller unit for schools; the EAI Education Ecosystem Brain and Curriculum Skills 2.0; and the FF Nova Developer Reinforcement Learning Platform. The launch video goes public October 15 at 5:00 p.m. PDT on ff.com, according to the joint press release, which describes FF Nova as "FF's first embodied AI humanoid robot designed for developers and educational institutions."

No price. No ship date. No named launch customer.

The corporate structure behind the launch is also still open. FFR (NASDAQ: FFR) says it "has proposed to acquire" FFAI's EAI robotics business under a non-binding term sheet that "may not result in definitive agreements." Two tickers are jointly promoting a robotics line one of them does not yet own.

The pitch is a "Four-Core Full-Stack" AI ecosystem of EAI Brain & Developer Platform, EAI Devices, Industry Productivity Solutions, and EAI Data Factory, guided by what the companies call "One Brain, Multi-forms, Multi-capabilities." The release says the FF EAI Robotics business "has already achieved commercial deliveries of humanoid and biomimetic robotic products," but names no buyer. It joins 165 robotics stories we've logged in the last 90 days on the robotics tracker; most of the others name a customer.
