Summary
Google Research, HHMI Janelia, MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology and Cambridge published the first complete map of the male Drosophila central nervous system in Cell, covering 166,000 neurons and 125 million synapses. It is the largest brain map by neuron count to date and enables direct sex-based comparison with the 2024 female-brain connectome; datasets are downloadable via Neuroglancer.
