- Products Atlas and Nova combine continuous external attack-surface mapping with on-demand agentic penetration testing against enterprise estates.
- Hadrian claims 10x greater visibility into critical exposures, 80% faster time to resolution, and 5x ROI versus manual pentesting.
Hadrian, an Amsterdam-based offensive security startup, raised $40 million in a Series B co-led by Forgepoint Capital International and SmartFin, tech.eu reported. The round, with participation from HV Capital, Motive Partners, Picus Capital and Oetker Ventures, brings total funding to $65 million. Founded in 2021 by Rogier Fischer, Olivier Beg and Maurice Clin, the company sells two things: Atlas, which continuously maps a customer's external attack surface and scores exploitability, and Nova, an on-demand agentic penetration tester.
The pitch is that attackers already use AI to automate parts of the attack chain while most defenders still buy a manual pentest once a year. "We have been working with LLMs since before they went mainstream, and we know that AI can work much faster than any human offensive security team," said CEO Rogier Fischer. "So we built a platform that emulates hackers' attack paths, helping our customers to understand their key risks and prioritise their security resources appropriately."
Hadrian's own numbers: ten times greater visibility into critical exposures, an 80 per cent reduction in time to resolution, and a 5x return on investment versus manual penetration testing. The customer roster it publishes names McKesson, NBCUniversal, TotalEnergies, Amadeus, Leroy Merlin and Damen Shipyards. The money will fund expansion in EMEA and the US and growth of the engineering and research teams.
Those platform metrics are self-reported; the tech.eu write-up attributes them to Hadrian, not to any third-party audit. It lands amid a steady run of agentic-security coverage on our side too: one of 199 cybersecurity stories we have tracked in the last 90 days.
