Humain Plans $2.5B Fund Under BSF Capital for Saudi Data Centers

TL;DR

  • Humain is raising an initial $2.5 billion from global and domestic investors for a fund to build Saudi data centers.
  • The vehicle will be managed by BSF Capital and financed with a mix of debt and equity.
  • Proceeds are earmarked for 250 megawatts being built with Al Moammar Information Systems, with room to grow to 1 gigawatt.

Humain is planning to raise an initial $2.5 billion from global and domestic investors for a fund that will finance data centers in Saudi Arabia, Bloomberg reported on September 3.

The vehicle will be "managed by BSF Capital," the investment arm of Banque Saudi Fransi. The bank will approach investors after "getting approval from the Capital Market Authority, which could take between two to three months," per the report. Financing will be a mix of debt and equity.

The proceeds are earmarked for 250 megawatts of capacity Humain is building with Al Moammar Information Systems Co. That footprint "could eventually grow to as much as 1 gigawatt."

Bloomberg does not name the investors being targeted, nor break out how much of the $2.5 billion will arrive as debt versus equity. It's the latest in a run of AI-infrastructure financings crossing our tracker this week, alongside Fluidstack's $1.5 billion round at an $18 billion valuation.
