  • Instinct closed a $1 billion Series C from Sequoia Capital, Benchmark, and Coatue at a $10 billion valuation.
  • The valuation is roughly 4x the $2.5 billion mark it hit in a $250 million Series B only a month earlier.
  • Its product, launched invite-only in August 2026, texts or calls on a user's behalf to book, buy, and cancel.

Instinct, a San Francisco startup building a personal AI agent, raised $1 billion in Series C funding from Sequoia Capital, Benchmark, and Coatue at a $10 billion valuation, Reuters reported. The round lands roughly a month after Instinct closed a $250 million Series B at a $2.5 billion valuation, a fourfold markup in weeks.

The company was founded by Noah Shinn. Its product, released as an invite-only service in August 2026, is pitched as an agent that can text or call on a user's behalf to plan trips, buy groceries, book tickets, cancel subscriptions, and handle concierge-style bookings with businesses.

"We're building Instinct to be the best personal agent that can handle the deeply personal nuances of everyday life," Shinn said in the funding announcement. "This funding helps us bring Instinct to more people and continue building the future of personal AI. It's an exciting, creative time, and we're just getting started."

The release does not disclose revenue, active-user counts, or how the $1 billion will be spent.
