Walter Isaacson's new interview podcast, *The Builders with Walter Isaacson*, launches Oct. 20 with Elon Musk and continues twice weekly into January, the Hollywood Reporter reported.
The confirmed guest list runs through Palantir co-founder Peter Thiel, "Godmother of AI" Fei-Fei Li, Anthropic co-founders Dario and Daniela Amodei, Palantir CEO Alex Karp, and Oculus VR creator Palmer Luckey. Kaleidoscope is producing the show in partnership with Ramp; iHeartPodcasts is distributing.
Isaacson's framing is explicit. "AI is the most transformative technology we've had maybe since the advent of electricity, 130 years ago," he said, "and it's happening so fast that I wanted to get to have a deep dive with the people who are creating it and do it in a more timely manner than a book."
The Musk episode is already producing headlines. Axios reported Musk told Isaacson, "The only way we're going to solve the national debt is with AI and robots. We're not gonna solve it by trying to save our way there."
