Meta switched Muse Voice on for every US user on November 5, letting them phone-call or video-chat its consumer AI agent from mobile, web or Mac. TechCrunch reported that the rollout runs on two new models, Muse Realtime Avatar and Muse Realtime Voice, which turn the voice stream into a synced, expressive face.
"muse voice is out for everyone in the US!" chief AI officer Alexandr Wang announced, adding that "you can now phone call and video chat with your muse whenever you need." The default avatar is nicknamed Jolly; users can morph it into "a photorealistic human, an animal, or any other image they provide." In his demo, Wang said his Muse, a fluffy white dog, suggested adding disclaimers to memes he posts on X.
One early tester described the avatar as "a little uncanny" even when the model answered quickly. Meta says AI Glasses support is coming "soon" and that the same stack will also power its forthcoming Muse Charm wearable.
