NeurIPS 2026 points researchers to AJCAI and ACML stopovers

TL;DR

  • NeurIPS 2026 runs December 6 to 12 in Sydney, with two regional AI conferences scheduled in the ten days before it.
  • AJCAI 2026, the 39th edition, takes place November 27 to 30 at the University of Auckland in New Zealand.
  • ACML 2026, the 18th edition, follows December 1 to 4 at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia.

NeurIPS 2026 heads to Sydney from December 6 to 12, and the official NeurIPS blog is pointing travelling researchers to two regional meetings scheduled just before it. The 39th Australasian Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence (AJCAI 2026) runs November 27 to 30 at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. The 18th Asian Conference on Machine Learning (ACML 2026) follows at RMIT University in Melbourne from December 1 to 4.

The post frames the back-to-back schedule as a routing convenience for anyone already flying in: "late November and early December 2026 offer a unique opportunity for researchers to connect across three major AI and machine learning gatherings in Australasia." A couple of the researchers we track in our Who's Who directory had already shared the post.

The blog publishes no attendance estimates, acceptance rates, or submission counts for any of the three events.
