Nvidia Commits DLSS 5 to RTX 40-Series 'Once RTX 50 Tuning Wraps,' Sets No Firm Date

Nvidia confirms it will extend DLSS 5's neural-rendering pipeline to the RTX 40 series 'once RTX 50 Series performance is more fully tuned,' with model updates expected later this fall of 2026. RTX 40 support will ship with 'limited user controls' versus the RTX 50 flagship experience. An RTX Remix modder has already patched the DLSS 5 file to run on Ada Lovelace hardware including the RTX 4090 and 4080.
