Nvidia, Google and Emerald AI Launch Energy Management Alliance to Turn AI Data Centers Into Grid-Flexible Loads

The AI Energy Management Alliance (AEMA) launched Sept 16 spanning platforms, utilities and grid operators, with founding members including Nvidia, Google, Emerald AI, Anthropic, National Grid, AES, Constellation, NRG and RWE. The alliance aims to make AI data centers grid-flexible resources that can shift workloads, discharge storage and use paired generation during grid stress. It pairs Nvidia's Vera Rubin DSX Flex platform with Emerald Conductor to defer costly infrastructure upgrades.
