Nvidia Launches 64GB DGX Spark at $4,999 as 128GB Hits $6,950
TL;DR
- Nvidia introduces a 64GB DGX Spark at $4,999, launching October 23 through Acer, ASUS, Dell, Gigabyte, HP and MSI.
- The 128GB DGX Spark now lists at $6,950, up from a $3,999 debut, with Nvidia citing memory supply constraints.
- The 64GB box handles models up to 100B parameters; two units clustered via ConnectX-7 pool 128GB for roughly 200B.
Nvidia's 128GB DGX Spark now lists at $6,950, up from a $3,999 debut sticker, and the company is pairing that climb with a new 64GB variant at $4,999 that goes on sale October 23 through Acer, ASUS, Dell, Gigabyte, HP and MSI, according to Tom's Hardware.
An earlier February price bump had already pushed the Founders Edition up 18% to $4,699. Nvidia cites memory supply. Micron has warned DRAM supply will stay tight through 2028.
Both tiers keep the GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip, a 20-core Arm CPU, and 273 GB/s of unified memory bandwidth. The split is capacity. The 64GB unit tops out at open models up to 100 billion parameters, while two 64GB systems clustered over ConnectX-7 ports pool to 128GB and reach roughly 200 billion, delivering "up to 1.7 times the performance" of a single Spark in Nvidia's own benchmark.
The arithmetic is awkward. Two 64GB boxes at $4,999 run to about $10,000 for the same 128GB memory pool a single $6,950 Spark provides. You get double the compute and bandwidth for the premium, but not cheaper total memory. It extends a run of memory-cost coverage we've been tracking, including Broadcom and Blackstone's $60B debt raise to fund Anthropic chips.
