Nvidia Pitches Apollo on Converting 130+ Brightspeed Telecom Buildings Into 1GW of Small AI Data Centers

The Information reports Nvidia approached Apollo Global Management about retrofitting the 130-plus buildings of its struggling ISP Brightspeed into a US-wide network of small AI data centers spanning roughly 20 states and about 1GW of power capacity. The plan is a direct workaround to the data-center moratoriums and ballot-measure backlash sweeping US jurisdictions, pairing existing fiber and power connections with Nvidia's DSX POD modular infrastructure to cut deployment to weeks.
