OpenAI Court Filing Says Ex-Staffer Sent 100+ Files on Unreleased Device to Apple on Final Day

In a Tuesday filing, OpenAI alleged a former staffer who rejoined Apple transferred more than 100 highly confidential files about at least one unreleased OpenAI device to personal accounts on June 2 — his final day at OpenAI — including detailed device images, engineering and manufacturing data, supplier info, project files, and standards for cosmetic finishes, coating and sealing. OpenAI also claims he made a presentation on OpenAI's plans to Apple's VP of operations in Asia months earlier. Apple told Reuters it has policies against using prior-employer confidential information and said it has found no evidence to support the allegations.
