OpenAI Signs Multi-Year Compute Deal With Nvidia-Backed Firmus for Two Malaysia Data Centers

Australian AI infrastructure firm Firmus said Tuesday that OpenAI will be an anchor customer for two Malaysian data centers, running Nvidia's Vera Rubin processors on the DSX AI Factory Platform integrated with Firmus's HyperCube system. The deal takes Firmus's total contracted capacity across all customers past 900 megawatts and marks its expansion beyond Australia, Singapore, and Indonesia.
