Salesforce in Talks to Buy AI Customer-Research Startup Listen Labs for ~$2B, 4x Its January Valuation

Business Insider reports Salesforce is in advanced talks to acquire AI customer-research platform Listen Labs for roughly $2B, roughly 4x its ~$500M valuation earlier in 2026. The deal would follow Salesforce's ~$3.6B June acquisition of customer-agent provider Fin (formerly Intercom) and earlier bolt-ons for Momentum and Cimulate, part of Marc Benioff's push to layer AI insight and orchestration on top of the core CRM stack. Reports note that talks remain preliminary.
