Sequoia-Incubated Empirik Emerges With $21M Seed to Predict Infra Outages Before They Happen

Empirik, an AI observability platform that predicts infrastructure outages by inferring the ripple effects of system changes, spun out of Sequoia Capital as an independent company on Sept 1 with a $21M seed led by Sequoia, joined by Canapi and Alumni Ventures. CEO Kartik Chandrayana (ex-Quantum Metric CPO) leads a team co-founded by Sequoia IT leaders Avon Puri and Sudheer Dhurjati. Early customers include S&P Global and Guardant Health; the company positions itself as complementary to Resolve and Traversal in the AI-SRE stack.
