Snowflake Expedition 2026 Opens Business Ontology and Cortex AI Gateway for Grounded Enterprise Agents

At Expedition 2026 on November 3, Snowflake unveiled Business Ontology (private preview) so AI agents answer from one approved set of business-term definitions, expanded Cortex AI Gateway with agent-abuse detection, cost governance and dynamic model routing, and added Cortex Training in public preview for tailoring open-weight models. CoCo and CoWork agents consume the ontology, and Snowflake will run as a first-party service on OCI.
