WSJ: Betaworks' 5.5% Hugging Face Stake Worth ~$650M in Nvidia Buyout, A.Capital Could Bag $1.5B

A source tells the WSJ that Betaworks holds a 5.5% stake in Hugging Face worth roughly $650M at the $12.9B Nvidia acquisition price for stockholders, one of the largest fund-level returns in the AI-VC era. A.Capital, an early Hugging Face backer, could pocket about $1.5B on the sale. The Nvidia deal, confirmed Sept 3, will close in H1 2027 pending regulatory review.
