Xreal has set the sticker price for its Aura glasses: $1,279 for a 12GB/256GB base model and $1,499 for a 16GB/512GB upgrade, with a $199 Priority Deposit required to secure one, 9to5Google reports. The figure lands below the under-$1,500 commitment the company had floated earlier.
The hardware pairs sub-95g optical see-through frames with a tethered compute puck running Android XR, Gemini and Qualcomm's Snapdragon Reality Elite, delivering a 70-degree field of view, hand tracking and audio tuned by Bose, Engadget reported. The puck doubles as a trackpad and carries a fingerprint sensor.
"XREAL AURA sets a new benchmark for OST XR glasses, bringing powerful AI-driven experiences to both work and everyday life," said Chi Xu, co-founder and CEO of Xreal, in the launch announcement.
Initial units will ship in the United States, Canada, Japan and South Korea before the holidays, with additional markets opening in 2027 and general-public preorders to follow in the coming weeks.
