AvePoint Reports Record Net New ARR on AI Governance

AvePoint (Nasdaq: AVPT) reported record net new annual recurring revenue for Q2 2026 in an 8-K filed August 6, attributing the result to enterprise demand for governance and oversight of agentic AI systems. CEO TJ Jiang tied the performance to a specific thesis: that as organizations deploy AI agents faster, visibility, governance, and security become the foundational spending priority before anything else can run.

"As organizations rapidly integrate and rely on agentic AI, their need for visibility, governance, and security — for trust in this technology — has only intensified. Because trust is the foundational layer of enterprise AI, AvePoint is uniquely positioned to help organizations deploy intelligent systems with confidence, maximizing business value while minimizing risk."

A Pawn Lender, an Eyewear Chain, and a Fertility Benefits Plan Each Named AI Risk

Several companies with no AI-first identity listed their use of artificial intelligence as a discrete, named risk factor in filings this week. EZCORP (Nasdaq: EZPW), a pawn and consumer lending operator, gave it a standalone section in its August 5 10-Q under Risk Factors — an unusual placement for a company in that sector.

"Our use of artificial intelligence subjects us to incremental risks, which could adversely affect our financial condition and results of operations. In the course of conducting our business, we utilize artificial intelligence ("AI") and machine learning technologies (collectively, "AI Technologies")."

Warby Parker (NYSE: WRBY) listed AI risk alongside IT-system reliance and tariff exposure in its August 6 8-K. Progyny (Nasdaq: PGNY), which administers fertility benefits for employers, was more specific in its August 7 10-Q, stating that AI use may create new or heightened legal, regulatory, ethical, or operational challenges specific to the business. Miller Industries (NYSE: MLR), a towing equipment manufacturer, covered generative AI and machine learning under a single risk line in its August 5 8-K, placing it beside supply-chain disruption and activist shareholder concerns.

NICE and Rezolve Push Agentic AI Into Regulated and Emerging Markets

NICE (Nasdaq: NICE) disclosed in a 6-K filed August 6 that it has been named a launch partner for the AWS European Sovereign Cloud, extending its customer experience AI platform to regulated industries in Europe that require local data residency. The filing positioned the move as advancing trusted agentic AI in markets where data sovereignty rules constrain standard cloud deployments.

Rezolve AI (Nasdaq: RZLV) disclosed in an August 5 6-K that its 550-person India operation has become the global engine for its agentic commerce platform, representing approximately $50 million in India-led total contract value and supporting more than 1,000 customers worldwide. The company described the India team as the product of a four-year investment combining proprietary AI, platform engineering, and enterprise services delivery.

B-Scada Registers with the SEC as an Agentic AI Lab

B-Scada (OTC: SCDA) filed a Form 10-12G on August 5 to register its securities, disclosing that it has restructured entirely out of its prior operations to build bespoke agentic AI systems for small and midsize businesses. The filing is notable as a first-time SEC registration by a company that explicitly calls itself an AI lab.

"In response to evolving market dynamics and technological advancements, we have repurposed our business operations to focus on the development and commercialization of agentic artificial intelligence ("AI") solutions tailored primarily for small- and medium-sized business ("SMB") corporate clients. Agentic AI refers to autonomous AI systems capable of performing tasks, making decisions, and interacting with environments or data sources with minimal human intervention, often through multi-step reasoning and tool integration. Our restructured business model positions the Company as an "AI lab" where we design, prototype and deploy bespoke or proprietary..."

Two Companies Cited AI Investment to Explain a Transaction

VisionWave Holdings (Nasdaq: VWAV) announced in an August 5 8-K that it signed a term sheet to acquire a controlling stake in D-Fence Electronic Fencing Systems Ltd., an Israeli developer of AI-powered perimeter security and electronic fencing serving governments, military organizations, and critical infrastructure operators worldwide.

Reliance Global Group (Nasdaq: EZRA) disclosed an August 5 8-K with a letter of intent to sell its Altruis health insurance subsidiary in an all-cash transaction. The company stated explicitly that the non-dilutive deal would free capital for continued investment in its proprietary AI platform and InsurTech operations.
