EDGAR Radar: Sun Life Launches Proprietary Agentic AI Platform

What public companies just told the SEC about AI, read straight from the filings. Every quote links the original document.

Sun Life Launches Proprietary Agentic AI Platform

Sun Life Financial (NYSE: SLF), one of North America's largest insurers, reported in a 6-K this week that it deployed a proprietary agentic AI platform for technology architecture teams and secured a founding membership in an AI Consortium. The disclosure is notable for how concrete it is: an internally built platform with a defined user group, not a pilot or a partnership announcement.

"We also made important progress on our digital and AI priorities. Our founding membership in the AI Consortium and the launch of our proprietary agentic AI platform for technology architecture teams are examples of how we are scaling AI responsibly across the enterprise, strengthening how we work and creating more capacity for our people to focus on growth, innovation and delivering on our Purpose."

The same vocabulary is spreading to smaller filers. Aeries Technology (Nasdaq: AERT) appeared for the first time in the "agentic AI" filing window, announcing AxAI, a new agentic AI product line, alongside Q1 FY2027 revenue of $21.9 million, up 43% year over year, and full-year guidance of $80 million to $84 million. LivePerson (Nasdaq: LPSN) filed a 425 disclosing a proposed merger that would combine capabilities across voice, digital engagement, agentic AI, and AI assurance, projecting combined 2027 revenue of $350 million to $500 million based on the existing customer base alone.

Gen Digital Names Agentic AI a Distinct Security Threat

Gen Digital (Nasdaq: GEN), parent of Norton and Avast, broke from generic AI risk boilerplate in its 10-Q to treat agentic AI as a separate category of threat, noting that threat actors are already using AI to accelerate attacks and that the legal and operational risks of agentic systems cannot yet be mapped.

"...it is not possible to predict all of the legal, operational or technological risks that may arise relating to the use of AI, including the increased use of agentic AI and the heightened risk it poses to data privacy and cybersecurity."

Cimpress (Nasdaq: CMPR), the Vistaprint parent, named a different version of the same risk in its 10-K: agentic AI is changing how consumers find and buy products, and autonomous shopping tools may intercept purchase decisions before they ever reach a Cimpress property.

"Consumers are increasingly relying on generative and agentic AI tools and technologies, such as conversational search engines, autonomous shopping…"

Powerfleet Names a Chief AI Officer

Powerfleet (Nasdaq: AIOT) disclosed a new Chief AI Officer in an 8-K covering Q1 FY2027 results, where high-value services revenue grew 9.1% and represented 85% of total revenue. Conduent (Nasdaq: CNDT) added Adam Demuyakor to its board specifically for expertise in artificial intelligence and digital transformation, the company noted in an 8-K that also set full-year revenue guidance of $2.15 billion to $2.25 billion. A more indirect signal: MicroVision (Nasdaq: MVIS) hired a new CFO whose most recent position was CFO of Fusemachines (Nasdaq: FUSE), which describes itself in its own 10-Q as a leading provider of agentic AI solutions.

PowerCompute Pledges 307 Bitcoin to Fund AI Infrastructure

PowerCompute (Nasdaq: PWCM) disclosed in an 8-K that it signed an agreement on July 27, 2026 to refinance three existing debt facilities totaling $18 million through a new loan from Arch Lending, using 307 Bitcoin from its corporate treasury as collateral. The company, which began as a Bitcoin mining and specialty finance operation, is now building into high-performance computing and AI infrastructure. The structure ties its available AI capital directly to BTC price movement, a financing approach not common among infrastructure developers.
