TL;DR

  • Amazon VP Mary Beth Westmoreland stated the internal vision is that sellers would never have to log into Seller Central, signaling a full agent-first interface strategy from the product owner.
  • 90% of Amazon sellers already use third-party AI tools, framing this launch as a retention move to keep seller data and execution inside Amazon rails rather than a greenfield capability.
  • Anthropic receives preferred access in part because of its co-investment relationship with Amazon via Bedrock; Meta Muse is blocked because it can reroute purchase intent off-platform.

"Our vision was that they would never have to log into Seller Central", explique Mary Beth Westmoreland, vice-présidente Worldwide Selling Partner Experience d'Amazon. "We would just bring it to them where they work."

"We've built this in a way that should be modular enough for us to continue to publish plugins", ajoute Westmoreland, laissant entendre que d'autres agents suivront.
