1,7 million d'utilisateurs uniques sur les 3 millions de personnels du Département de la Défense se sont déjà connectés à GenAI.mil depuis son lancement l'an dernier avec Google Gemini. Le portail vient d'y ajouter ChatGPT Mil, la version militaire d'OpenAI, et Grok for Government de xAI, rapporte TechCrunch.

ChatGPT Mil couvre chat, fichiers, projets et GPTs personnalisés, pour du travail non classifié qui va de l'administratif à la logistique, la planification et la politique. Grok est vendu comme aidant "the warfighter with immediate productivity gains" sur des cas qui courent de l'analyse d'acquisitions à la gestion de la supply chain.

Les deux outils transitent par un portail sécurisé conçu pour tenir les données sensibles à l'écart des canaux grand public où elles seraient collectées comme du trafic ordinaire.

L'absent, c'est Claude. L'administration Trump a désigné Anthropic comme un "supply-chain risk" après que la société a refusé d'accorder au Pentagone un accès sans garde-fous, insistant pour conserver ses restrictions de sécurité. Anthropic conteste la désignation en justice.

À côté d'OpenAI et de xAI, le Pentagone continue de travailler avec Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, Nvidia et Reflection AI sur ses briques IA.
