India's Airbound Bags $37M Series A Led by Greenoaks for Rocket-Like Autonomous Cargo Drones

Bengaluru-based Airbound raised a $37M Series A led by Greenoaks with DoorDash, Lightspeed, Lachy Groom and Humba Ventures, less than a year after its $8.65M seed, taking total funding to about $50M. Its tail-sitter drones weigh less than their cargo (3.3-pound TRT carrying 2.2 pounds), have flown 13,000+ autonomous missions in India including diagnostic-sample runs for Narayana Health that cut a three-to-five-hour truck trip to seven minutes, and are aimed at making airborne logistics as cheap as trucking.
