Waypoint Bio announced a $20M Series A led by Amplify Partners on June 1 to advance its AI-native platform that uses spatial biology and computer vision to design next-generation CAR T therapies targeting solid tumors, with clinical entry of its lead program WAY-103 expected in late 2026. The round includes General Catalyst, Lux Capital, Time BioVentures, and Mitsui Global Investments. Patrick Kaifosh — co-founder of CTRL-Labs (acquired by Meta) and former Meta Reality Labs director — joined as CTO, adding a direct line from consumer neurotech to clinical AI drug design.
