Uber Commits $10B+ to Roll Out 120K Driverless Vehicles Across 15+ Cities in 2026

On its Q2 call, Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi said the company will spend more than $10 billion 'over the coming years' to deploy 120,000 driverless vehicles, targeting 15+ cities in 2026 (including San Francisco, LA, London, Dubai and Munich). Q2 revenue rose 12% to $14.2B, but Q3 EPS guidance trailed estimates. Uber also disclosed that its Waymo exclusivity in Atlanta and Austin will end by early 2028.
