Alibaba Cloud, Cambricon Join PyTorch Foundation as Platinum Members, Ant Group Takes Gold Seat

The PyTorch Foundation announced Sept 8 at KubeCon + PyTorch Conference China 2026 in Shanghai that Alibaba Cloud and Cambricon have joined as Platinum members, each earning a Governing Board seat and a Technical Advisory Council seat, while Ant Group joins as a Gold member. All three take the keynote stage alongside existing member Huawei, covering Qwen serving at scale, device-agnostic PyTorch, and Kubernetes-based agent runtimes. More than 250 organizations across China now contribute to Foundation projects including vLLM, DeepSpeed, Ray, and Safetensors.
