Anthropic Was 34.5% of SpaceX's Q3 Revenue, Bloomberg Says
TL;DR
- SpaceX's filing identifies 'Customer B' as 34.5% of Q3 2026 revenue, which Bloomberg reports is Anthropic, overtaking the US government as the biggest client.
- Anthropic's S-1 commits up to $120.5 billion through 2029, roughly $3.1 billion a month once the full run rate hits in December 2026.
- After initial periods ending January and March 2027, either side can terminate the compute agreements with 90 days' written notice.
Anthropic is the "Customer B" that accounted for 34.5% of SpaceX's third-quarter revenue, overtaking the US government as its biggest client, Bloomberg reported.
SpaceX's filing names the buyer only as "Customer B," a buyer of computing power from its AI unit, now called Super Intelligence. The match came from Anthropic's own S-1, filed October 26, which disclosed it had agreed to spend up to $120.5 billion with SpaceX through 2029, about $3.1 billion a month once the full run rate hits in December 2026.
After initial periods that end in January and March 2027, either side can terminate the agreements with 90 days' written notice. "Both Anthropic and SpaceXAI hold cancellation rights starting after early 2027," Crypto Briefing wrote of the filings. "Either side can walk away by giving 90 days of written notice."
Anthropic rents NVIDIA GPU capacity at SpaceX's Memphis, Tennessee data centers, the Colossus I supercomputer and the Colossus II expansion. SpaceX's quarterly revenue rose 161% on the back of that spend. Google, by comparison, pays SpaceX about $920 million a month for compute, one more line in the AI-infrastructure capex wave we have logged 445 times in 90 days.
Neither company confirmed the identity on the record.
