Apple Unveils $299 HomeView and $149 HomePod Mini 2, Keeps Siri AI Hub Out of EU

Apple used its Welcome Home event to unveil the $299 HomeView, a 7-inch Liquid Retina smart display with face recognition for up to six users, alongside the $149 HomePod mini 2 and a $299 fourth-gen Apple TV 4K with far-field Siri mics. Pre-orders open Oct 13 and products ship Nov 13 in eight countries. HomeView will not launch in the EU because the required advanced Siri AI capabilities are not available there under the AI Act; Apple says it is 'working constructively with the EU' and gave no timeline.
