Bloomberg: Scientists Closer to AI Animal Translation, Ethicists Warn It Enables New Manipulation

Bioethicists interviewed warn the same models will hand humans new levers to exploit animals — from poachers mimicking mating calls to farms broadcasting distress vocalizations to scare predators — and argue existing AI ethics guidelines have not caught up.
