Crusoe Signs ~$13B, Five-Year AI Cloud Deal With Jane Street

AI Infrastructure Chips ai-business

TL;DR

  • Crusoe signed a roughly $13 billion, five-year cloud contract with Jane Street, providing GPU clusters and infrastructure for AI training and inference.
  • Jane Street becomes Crusoe's most prominent cloud customer, adding to the firm's April $6 billion CoreWeave commitment and $1 billion equity stake there.
  • Deal pulled more investors into Crusoe's talks to raise about $3 billion at a roughly $30 billion valuation, first reported by Bloomberg in July.

Crusoe has signed a roughly $13 billion, five-year cloud contract with quantitative trading firm Jane Street, Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the terms. The package "features groups of GPUs" plus the "additional equipment required to develop and operate models on Crusoe's cloud," according to the report.

Jane Street is now Crusoe's most prominent cloud customer. Crusoe already has agreements to provide AI compute to Meta Platforms and Oracle. "Crusoe declined to comment on the matter, and Jane Street did not reply to requests for comment."

The trading firm is spreading its compute bets across the neocloud sector. In April 2026, Jane Street said it expected to allocate roughly $6 billion for CoreWeave's neocloud AI services, in addition to a $1 billion equity stake in the publicly traded provider. The same month, Bloomberg reported Jane Street was negotiating to co-lead a fundraising round for Crusoe rival Fluidstack at an $18 billion valuation.

The Crusoe deal has already reshaped its own capital raise. A person familiar told Bloomberg the pact pulled more investors into Crusoe's latest round; the company has been discussing bringing in about $3 billion at an around $30 billion valuation, first reported by Bloomberg in July. Last week Bloomberg said Crusoe was pursuing chip financing that would be supported by its Jane Street agreements.

Crusoe divested its Bitcoin mining business in 2024 to focus on AI infrastructure, and now operates roughly 5 gigawatts of contracted AI compute with a development pipeline exceeding 40 GW. Its Abilene, Texas campus is tied to Oracle and OpenAI's Stargate initiative, with Microsoft reportedly leasing about 700 megawatts of power there. It is the third AI infrastructure story we've tracked today.
