Deepgram Acquires Daily, Maker of Open-Source Pipecat Voice Framework, to Expand Voice AI Stack

Deepgram (a $1.3B unicorn after a $130M Series C in January) acquired Daily, maker of the open-source Pipecat voice-agent framework, for undisclosed terms. Daily had raised $62M+ from Tiger Global, Nat Friedman, Lachy Groom, and Kevin Weil; both companies shared a YC 2016 batch. CEO Scott Stephenson also announced a new open Real-Time Context Standard (RCS) alongside the deal.
