Edge AI China AI Funding ai-business

TL;DR

  • Dongshan is sounding out demand for a Hong Kong listing that may raise $2 billion to $3 billion, with UBS and CITIC among joint sponsors.
  • The prospectus claims a 26.9 percent share of the 2025 global edge AI PCB market, covering smartphones, PCs, automotive, industrial and IoT equipment.
  • The Shenzhen stock is up more than 120 percent year to date, lifting market value above 258 billion yuan ($39 billion).

Suzhou Dongshan Precision Manufacturing is sounding out global funds for another China AI-hardware float. Bloomberg reports the Shenzhen-listed PCB maker has started investor-education meetings for a Hong Kong secondary listing that "may raise $2 billion to $3 billion."

The pitch rests on a specific number from the prospectus: Dongshan is "the world's largest PCB supplier for edge AI devices with a 26.9 percent market share in 2025," citing consultancy CIC. The portfolio covers "smartphones, PCs, automotive, industrial, and IoT equipment," components Bloomberg describes as "used in artificial intelligence infrastructure." On the broader league table, Dongshan ranks third globally by PCB revenue at a 4.2 percent share of an $85.2 billion market.

"UBS, Guotai Haitong Securities, GF Securities and Citic Securities are joint sponsors of the offering."

The Shenzhen stock is already carrying expectations. Dongshan trades at a market value of 258 billion yuan ($39 billion), and separate Chinese market coverage notes its cumulative gain has "exceeded 120%" since the start of the year, aided by the September 2025 purchase of optical-module maker Source Photonics for 5.9 billion yuan. The A-shares extended their slide on the IPO news, the familiar dilution reaction before a sizable H-share print.

Dongshan intends to list in Hong Kong "as soon as this month." The reports do not yet pin down the final price range, cornerstone lineup, or how proceeds split between M&A, capex and debt.
