DoorDash Launches iMessage Text-to-Order AI Agent and MCP Server for Corporate Autopilot Ordering

DoorDash unveiled a text-to-order AI agent inside Apple's Messages app; the tool matches phone numbers to DoorDash profiles to pull order history, dietary preferences and stored payment methods, and can execute group orders without opening the app. The service is currently live with about 20,000 US consumers and opens a public waitlist at doordash.com/text. DoorDash also released a DoorDash MCP server so companies can wire office restaurant orders and supply restocks into agents like Slack bots for bulk B2B automation.
