Meta Sets MTIA 450 for H1 2027 Data-Center Deployment, MTIA 500 by End of Year

Meta says MTIA 450, its third-generation custom AI accelerator, will enter data-center production in H1 2027 with MTIA 500 following by end of 2027. Bloomberg reports MTIA 450 roughly doubles HBM bandwidth over MTIA 400, and MTIA 500 adds ~50% more bandwidth and up to 80% more HBM capacity; Meta pitches ~44% TCO savings vs GPUs on supported workloads as part of a ~$115B capex plan.
