Meta released a Mac build of its Muse AI assistant on September 17, 2026, giving the agent the ability to work directly with files, messages, calendar, notes and mail inside native macOS apps, according to TechCrunch.
"your agent can now get stuff done right on your computer — files, messages, calendar, notes, all of it," Alexandr Wang said in announcing the release.
Access is opt-in. Per Meta's statement, "the app will always ask for your approval before it performs sensitive actions." The public materials do not enumerate which actions count as sensitive.
Mark Zuckerberg's post on X about the launch ran to four words: "The team is shipping fast." The pace tracks.
