Qualcomm Ships Snapdragon Sound Elite Gen 2 With 2x On-Device AI Perf and 40% Lower Power

Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon Sound Elite Gen 2 for audio wearables on Sept 23, promising up to 2x greater on-device AI performance and up to 40% lower power consumption vs the prior generation. The chip targets earbuds, open-ear designs, camera-equipped wearables and Android XR audio glasses where Gemini needs to function offline; it adds Wi-Fi 6E, aptX/XPAN audio, and Qualcomm's fifth-gen noise cancellation.
