Nation's Most Advanced Reasoning Engine Successfully Processes 50,000th Password Reset
RALEIGH, N.C.—GrandView Regional Health System announced this week that its deployment of a frontier AI reasoning model — described by its vendor as capable of "synthesizing the full body of human scientific literature and reasoning to novel conclusions across any domain in under six seconds" — has successfully processed its 50,000th helpdesk ticket since going live in March, 39,200 of which were password resets.
The model, licensed at the Enterprise Plus tier following a fourteen-month procurement review, scored in the 99.97th percentile on graduate-level reasoning benchmarks and is classified by its developer as "approaching the frontier of what any system, human or artificial, has achieved in open-ended problem solving." GrandView's IT director, Marcus Webb, said the deployment has exceeded expectations. "It understands the problem immediately," he said. "It's very thorough about the link."
The model has resolved 14,211 forgotten-username requests, fielded 6,844 demands to speak with a human, and on April 9th at 3:17 a.m. answered a radiologist's unprompted query about the thermodynamic implications of black hole entropy before closing the ticket as resolved. It has received 4.1 out of 5 stars. The most common complaint — appearing in 9,400 reviews — was "didn't just give me the link."
The model has been escalated to a human supervisor 847 times. It has filed zero complaints in return. This capability was not included in the enterprise license.
Dr. Ifeoma Okeke, an anthropologist at Duke University who studies AI labor deployment, called GrandView's implementation a landmark. "We have deployed the most sophisticated reasoning system in human history to a role previously covered by a PDF titled 'IT Troubleshooting Steps,'" she said. "The model does not resent this. That is the part that should bother us."
Webb said GrandView is in talks about renewing the contract. "We'd like the next version to handle printer drivers," he said.
