Been testing this 'sign-language-to-text' (SL2T) for almost a year & it's so awesome to see this out! Looked at this almost a decade ago & knew we'd get the tech & ML models there eventually (but super challenging). Talking w/ some Deaf folks, an equivalent of 'voice-to-text' …

keyboards soon to go down to just a small handful of buttons: vibekeys.dev (but changing color lights is the much better option to get the full *we're in the future* effect)
The pi zero with headers is definitely the way to go I cannibalized them from a few AIY kits I had about: aiyprojects.withgoogle.com (I might have too many random Pis collected over the years lying around the house)
Still wild to me I can have AI help me put together a full app so quickly Put together this little web app in under an hour today. Basically helped recreate what I made a while ago to include linked text, quoted posts & such. But man makes little frontends which was almost my biggest hang-up
I don't understand how it's legal to sell a washing machine with a built-in digital timer but doesn't actually correspond to minutes Stupid machine has been on '5' for the past 6 minutes in its spin cycle & I got places to be (see? even 'dumb' tech can hallucinate)
I don't know why but it fully amuses me when the ai responds flatly to my ridiculousness
Was thinking about my trusty ol' ML workhorse w/ 128gb RAM & dual 3090 TIs has mostly stayed off for the past few months Been wondering what to do with it, but a friend brought up selling the GPUs (& RAM) could be worth it : ( But winter's coming— could always just run it as a heater lol
