Anthropic Sends SF Staff Home Over Security Guard Strike Warning, But SEIU Says No Strike Was Called

Business Insider reports Anthropic told San Francisco staff to work from home Monday and Tuesday after its security contractor Allied Universal warned of a possible strike. The SEIU chapter representing Allied's California workers publicly disputed the claim, saying no strike authorization vote had been held and no strike was called; the union has been negotiating pay and healthcare since April.
