Microsoft Discovery AI Research Platform Reaches General Availability at Build 2026

Microsoft announced at Build 2026 that Discovery, its AI-powered scientific research platform, has reached general availability after an extended beta with pharmaceutical and materials-science partners. Discovery integrates literature synthesis, hypothesis generation, and experimental simulation into a unified pipeline with connectors for lab automation systems and electronic lab notebooks. The GA release opens access to all Azure enterprise customers and includes a Python SDK for custom research workflow construction.
